Luxury Bridal & Eveningwear Atelier - Harrow on the Hill, London
We are seeking an exceptional Creative Pattern Cutter to join our atelier on a full or part-time basis, working closely alongside Suzanne and an established team of pattern cutters. This is a rare opportunity to become part of a highly respected London-based bridal house, known for its craftsmanship, precision, and beautifully engineered silhouettes.
The Role
You will play a key role in developing and producing bespoke bridal and eveningwear pieces, as well as made-to-measure garments. This position requires both creative sensitivity and technical excellence, with the ability to translate design concepts into impeccably cut patterns. Working within our Harrow on the Hill atelier, you will collaborate closely with the wider team to ensure each piece meets the highest standards of fit, structure, and finish.
Key Responsibilities
- Create first patterns from sketches and design direction
- Develop patterns for bespoke and made-to-measure orders
- Work confidently across a range of luxury fabrics including silks, lace, and structured satins
- Collaborate with fittings to refine and perfect garment fit
- Amend and adapt patterns efficiently to meet client and production timelines
- Maintain organised and accurate pattern records (both digital and manual)
Skills & Experience Required
- Significant experience as a pattern cutter within bridal and/or luxury eveningwear
- Strong expertise in both Gerber and manual pattern cutting
- Proven ability to work on bespoke and made-to-measure garments
- Excellent understanding of garment construction, fit, and couture techniques
- Highly efficient with the ability to work to deadlines without compromising quality
- A meticulous eye for detail and a commitment to craftsmanship
- Comfortable working collaboratively within a close-knit atelier environment
