Development Assistant UK
The MMM begins with you: Join a team that brings together tradition and innovation – and let your passion for food lead the way.
Your tasks include:
- Carry out product analysis, including pH, water activity, viscosity, Brix and moisture, and keep accurate records
- Organise unbiased internal tastings, assessment panels and benchmarking, then document and share the results
- Assess alternative raw materials and amended formulations with procurement and technical, and update recipes in our recipe management system
- Support the production and despatch of samples, including labelling, record keeping and stock control
- Help the specification team ensure customers receive sample specifications alongside samples and costings
- Maintain audit-ready development records and generate KPI data from internal systems
- Purchase reference products and materials for development activities
- Present new products and launch updates to colleagues across the site
What you bring with you:
- Experience or education in food production or development (desirable)
- Strong organisational and self-management skills
- Excellent attention to detail and an analytical, problem-solving approach
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Confidence with computers and numbers
- Ability to facilitate change
- Independence, a sense of responsibility and a team-player mindset
