As an Account Manager, you will be part of the UK Sales and Marketing team, acting as the key link between Suunto and its retail partners. Your focus will be on developing strong customer relationships, driving sales growth, and identifying new business opportunities. The role includes regular travel for customer visits and events.

Key activities for the role:

  • Manage and grow assigned customer accounts, ensuring strong sales, profitability, and high-quality distribution.
  • Present Suunto’s product offering and drive continuous sell-in and re-order cycles.
  • Guide customers on assortment planning, pricing, demand, and commercial terms.
  • Build accurate monthly demand plans and monitor performance across accounts.
  • Work closely with marketing to plan and implement impactful sell-through activations (online & offline).
  • Train and engage customer-facing teams to strengthen product knowledge, advocacy, and conversion.
  • Ensure consistent brand visibility and execution across all customer touchpoints.
  • Conduct regular business reviews and propose growth-oriented action plans.
  • Build strong, trust-based relationships with buyers, planners, merchandisers, and marketing counterparts.

Qualifications and skills:

  • +5 years of experience managing customer accounts and building long-term business relationships.
  • Experience in sales of consumer goods business, sports and/or technology.
  • Fluent English is a requirement (company language is English).
  • Ability to work on some weekends to cover events.
  • Right to work in UK.
  • Ability to understand customer needs and tailor commercial solutions effectively.
  • Proven experience of strong negotiation and deal-closing skills.
  • Experience working closely with marketing teams to align sales and activation plans and ability to support or execute sell-through and marketing campaigns at account level.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities and ability to handle customer challenges creatively.
  • Organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

Considered an asset:

  • A passion for outdoor sports and/or consumer technology.
  • Existing contacts with outdoor/sports retail customers.
  • Strong insight into market trends, competition, and consumer behavior.
  • Knowledge of scuba diving and the scuba diving industry.
