Suttons Wharf Health Centre (formerly the Globe Town Surgery) is an established practice in Tower Hamlets which strives to offer high quality, compassionate health care in a friendly welcoming setting. The practice serves over 18,000 patients and provides Student Health Services for QMUL.

Responsibilities:

  • The delivery of appropriate medical care to patients
  • Contribution to the successful implementation of continuous improvement and quality initiatives
  • Participation in the training of GP registrars with allocated tutorial and debrief slots on rotation

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Β£10,500-11,000 per session (dependent on experience), inclusive of weekly pro rata CPD as per BMA contract
  • Additional 1 week pro rata study leave plus paid session for appraisal/appraisal prep
  • Competitive rates

Schedule and Practice Details:

  • We are looking for 4 sessions over Thursday and Friday
  • EMIS Web and other technology making practice paperless and efficient
  • Limited home visits – rapid response team, ARCARE, Key teams involvement
  • Very active in CCG/PCN supportive team
  • Education and Technology focus: Training Practice currently has 2 trainers with bespoke training rooms
  • Open door policy for advice and weekly clinical meetings
  • Using F12 and other templates to optimise operations
  • Total Triage Quarterly Team events
  • Low staff turnover
  • BMA based contract
