You will be helping students re-engage with learning, regain their confidence, and transition smoothly back into a full-time school environment.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Teaching high quality lessons across Key stage 3 and 4 that inspire pupils to engage with education.
  • Working with students who have been out of mainstream education for long periods due to medical reasons, helping them bridge the gap and prepare for a successful return.
  • Support students to engage in lessons and adapt your approach to meet the diverse needs of students at different stages of their recovery.
  • Being comfortable and willing to travel between various sites as required to best support our students in their journey to reintegrate back into mainstream.
  • Working closely with a range of professionals, including medical staff, therapists, educational psychologists, social workers, and mainstream school staff, to ensure a holistic and coordinated approach to student well-being and education.
  • Contributing to our ongoing mission to re-think our approach to engaging children and teaching at STARS, bringing fresh ideas and innovative methods to the classroom.
