Sutton Sea Cadets, a registered charity and youth organisation, is seeking a Treasurer to join our Unit Management Team (UMT) as a Trustee. The role is pivotal to ensuring the unit runs safely, is financially viable, and supports a forward‑thinking strategy.
What you will be doing:
- Maintain financial control and produce and manage the Unit accounts.
- Prepare annual budgets.
- Support financial input to fundraising campaigns and provide financial advice to the UMT.
- Meet with the Unit Management Team once per month and attend ad‑hoc meetings and activities as required.
- Require access to a laptop/PC.
What we are looking for:
- The skills and experience needed to be a Treasurer.
- A willingness to work with a small group (7) of volunteers to help manage the Unit.
- A team player who can contribute to planning, strategy, and financial policy & procedures.
- A good working relationship with all team members: Marketing & Comms, Fundraising, Facilities and Secretary, and the Commanding Officer.
- Ideal for someone retired, or looking for a new activity, or with spare time and keen to work in the community.
Other details:
This is a voluntary role. The position is home‑based with UMT meetings once a month.
