On behalf of our client we are looking for experienced pork butchers to join their team based off Hessle Road (HU3) area.
Duties:
- Prepare and cut meat products according to customer specifications.
- Ensure the quality and freshness of all meat products and implement stock rotation at all times.
- Assist customers with their meat selection and provide recommendations on cooking times, allergen information and meal suggestions.
- Receive and inspect meat deliveries, ensuring accuracy and quality.
- Operate and maintain butcher equipment and knives.
- Maintain a clean and tidy area (work, changing room, canteen etc), meeting both safety and hygiene regulations of the site.
- Wear the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment at all times within the production area.
Experience:
- Previous experience as a butcher or in a similar role preferred.
- Knowledge of different cuts of meat and meat preparation techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
- Excellent knife skills and ability to operate machinery safely.
