We are currently recruiting for a Multi Skilled Operative on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business in Hull. This is a hands-on, physically demanding role with full training provided and the opportunity to secure a permanent position.
The Role
This is a varied position covering multiple areas of the site, working with specialist machinery and processes unique to the business.
Duties include:
- Operating a range of production plant and processing equipment
- Working across different departments as part of a multi-skilled team
- Manual handling and physically demanding tasks
- Palletising, packing and moving finished goods
- Recording production data and supporting performance monitoring
- Carrying out line set-ups and completing production batches
- Taking samples for quality control testing
Working Hours
You will work a 3-week rotating shift pattern:
- Week 1: 2 days + 2 nights (starting Monday)
- Week 2: 3 day shifts (starting Wednesday)
- Week 3: 3 night shifts (starting Sunday) (12-hour shifts across a 5-day average working week)
Requirements
- Previous experience within a manufacturing or production environment (minimum 2 years preferred)
- Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence
- Able to work in a physically demanding, manual role
- Strong awareness of health & safety
- Flexible approach to shifts and overtime
- Reliable and able to work as part of a team
