The Opportunity

  • We’re looking for a
  • Finance Assistant to join our Hotels Finance team at

The Francis Hotel in Bath .

This is a hands‑on role at the heart of hotel operations, helping to keep our financial information accurate, our controls effective, and our teams equipped with the insight they need to understand performance.

You’ll work closely with hotel leaders and the wider Finance team across daily reconciliations, credit control, payments, reporting, and financial analysis.

It’s a role that will suit someone who enjoys detail, takes ownership, and wants to make a practical contribution to the smooth running of the business.

  • What You’ll Be Doing
  • Complete daily revenue, payment, cash, and credit card reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
  • Review Night Audit information and ensure financial records are accurate and complete.
  • Maintain key performance information, including the EBITDA tracker, food and beverage reporting, and sales forecasts.
  • Monitor outstanding debt, follow up with debtors, and support the Credit Control function in improving debtor days.
  • Process approved invoices and payment runs, ensuring information is correctly coded and recorded in Net Suite.
  • Support payroll productivity reporting by maintaining daily sales information in Sona.
  • Provide accrual analysis and other financial information to support the Hotels Cost Accountant.
  • Assist the General Manager and Heads of Department with financial analysis and queries as required.
  • What We’re Looking For
  • Previous experience in an accounting or finance role, ideally within hospitality.
  • Strong numerical skills and close attention to detail.
  • Competent use of Microsoft 365 applications, including Excel.
  • An organised and self‑motivated approach, with the ability to prioritise and work to deadlines.
  • Confidence working independently while contributing positively to a wider team.
  • Experience of Procure Wizard, another purchase‑to‑pay or purchase order system would be useful.
  • Experience of Net Suite or a similar accounting system would also be advantageous.
