Pool Hayes Academy is looking to appoint a motivated, independent, and hardworking individual to the role of Assistant Head of Year. This is a non‑teaching role that supports the school’s educational outcomes.
Salary and Working Hours
- NJC Scale Point: 18 - 22
- Salary: £27,125 to £28,984 per annum
- Hours: 37 hours per week, 39 weeks per annum
- Commencement: As soon as possible
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of tutors and influence all staff, parents/carers and stakeholders to raise aspiration and improve outcomes for all students.
- Support the school in achieving the best possible outcomes for all students.
- Promote the academy’s vision that any pupil, regardless of circumstance, can fulfil their potential.
Qualifications and Experience
- Good basic education to GCSE level (including English and Maths).
- Completion of relevant courses such as coaching/mentoring/study support.
- Previous work experience with young people.
- Proactive interest in education and a desire to support the school.
- Enhanced DBS criminal record check required; online searches will be carried out in line with KCSIE update 2025.
- Flexible working arrangements are welcomed.
