We are looking for a detail-oriented and creative editor to join our team, responsible for shaping high-quality content that resonates with our audience. You will collaborate with writers, designers, and others to produce a compelling magazine offer for our Members and the wider community.
Kaleidoscope Magazine is a well-respected source of information and ideas, appreciated by our Members and the wider community. Your role as Magazine Editor is crucial in ensuring we continue to deliver to a high standard.
What are we looking for?
- Key skills:
- Writing & Editing: Exceptional command of grammar, spelling, and style guidelines. A keen eye for detail.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in computing and IT skills.
- Education/Experience: Proficient in spoken and written English language to GCSE level as a minimum. Must have experience in editorial work.

- Excellent communication skills.

What will you be doing?
- Engage our audience, celebrate our combined heritage and promote awareness of SACCO through our Kaleidoscope Magazine.
- Editing and proofreading of articles, ensuring clarity, coherence, and adherence to our style guidelines.
- Collaborate with writers to provide constructive feedback and help review and refine their work.
- Make corrections to typographical, punctuation, and grammatical errors.
- Participate in editorial meetings, contributing ideas and insights to enhance our content strategy.
- Conduct research to fact-check content and gather relevant information to support editorial decisions.
