The role

As a Graduate Development Officer within our Innse Gall (Outer Hebrides) area team, you'll work on projects that support economic and community development across the islands.

You'll gain hands-on experience working with businesses, community organisations, stakeholders and partners, helping to deliver projects that strengthen local communities, support sustainable economic growth and contribute to Scotland's net zero ambitions.

The role offers exposure to client engagement, project management, financial appraisal, research and analysis, stakeholder engagement and partnership working, providing an excellent foundation for a career in economic development.

The person

We're looking for an enthusiastic graduate educated to degree level in business, accountancy, economics or a related subject.

You will be a proactive and organised individual with strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.

You'll enjoy working with people, be able to work effectively as part of a team while using your own initiative, and have a genuine interest in supporting businesses, communities and economic development.

A high level of accuracy, attention to detail and a customer-focused approach are essential.

A full driving licence and willingness to travel across the Outer Hebrides, including occasional overnight stays, are required.
