Are you someone who loves turning ideas into action, enjoys juggling creative marketing with real-world delivery, and wants to be part of a team that genuinely cares about quality, people and success? We’re looking for a Marketing & Events Assistant to join our small but mighty team at SCCO — an organisation that delivers high‑quality professional education, runs inspiring events across the UK and Europe, and believes that great work comes from commitment, collaboration and a sense of fun.
About the role
This is a varied, hands‑on role where no two days look the same. You’ll be supporting our Marketing & Operations Manager and working closely with our admin and finance colleagues to help promote, deliver and evaluate our programme of courses and events.
- Creating campaigns that actually get noticed
- Seeing events come to life (and making sure they run smoothly)
- Managing customer bookings with care and attention to every detail
- Working in a supportive team where your ideas are welcome
What you’ll be doing
You’ll play a key role in supporting the marketing, delivery and smooth running of our courses — working across both marketing and operations. Your work will include:
- Supporting the development and delivery of our online presence across website, email and social media (especially LinkedIn & Instagram)
- Creating engaging, audience‑focused content and campaign copy to promote our courses and services
- Planning and delivering cross‑platform marketing campaigns aligned to our purpose and values
- Scheduling content, managing channels, and helping to build brand awareness and engagement
- Keeping website content up to date and aligned with campaigns to maximise impact and insight
- Assisting with market research to identify trends and opportunities
- Contributing ideas through brainstorming and collaborative planning
- Taking responsibility for the administration of residential courses in Germany, including room allocations, travel arrangements and student support
- Managing bookings and responding to enquiries from students and faculty before, during and after courses
- Liaising with venues to ensure a high‑quality experience for both students and faculty
- Coordinating course logistics to ensure everything runs smoothly
- Preparing reports and performance insights to support ongoing improvement
This is a varied, hands‑on role where you’ll learn quickly, take real responsibility, and see the direct impact of your work.
About you
We’re not looking for perfection — we’re looking for someone who’s curious, capable, organised and enjoys getting stuck in. You’ll likely have:
- At least 12 months’ experience in a marketing role (B2B a bonus)
- A marketing qualification (or be working towards one)
- Strong copywriting skills and a good eye for tone and audience
- Experience with social media, email marketing and scheduling tools
- Some familiarity with websites (WordPress ideal)
- Experience using HubSpot (or confidence learning it)
- Great organisational skills and the ability to juggle priorities
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Great attention to detail
- Confidence working independently while knowing when to ask for support
Why work with us?
You’ll be trusted, valued and supported. Your skills and commitment will be noticed. You’ll work with people who care deeply about doing things well. There’s space to grow, learn and take on more. We’re serious about success — but we’re human, friendly and collaborative while we get there.
If this sounds like your kind of role — and your kind of team — we’d love to hear from you.
