We are looking for a Estimator/Junior Estimator to join our Play Area Design team. This role involves producing engaging 2D playground layouts alongside accurate project costings, helping to support our Sales team and guide customers through the decision‑making process.
Initially covering 12 months maternity leave with a view to becoming permanent, this position would suit someone with a good working knowledge of AutoCAD who has an interest in design and enjoys working in a collaborative environment. Full training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop a career in design, estimating, and creating exciting outdoor play environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and interpret design briefs and site information to develop proposals that meet client requirements.
- Produce 2D AutoCAD layouts and detailed project costings.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant playground safety standards.
- Work closely with the Sales team to review design requests and ensure projects are processed accurately and efficiently.
- Manage multiple projects while working to agreed deadlines.
- Support colleagues within the Play Area Design team and contribute to a positive team environment.
- Good working knowledge of AutoCAD or similar 2D CAD program.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office (particularly Excel).
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to interpret design briefs and prepare accurate costings.
- A willingness to learn, develop new skills, and work collaboratively as part of a team.
The position may suit college leavers and graduates, those looking to start a career in design/estimating and live close to Upton/Pontefract. Depending on skill set and experience, this may start as a junior role and full training will be given with the aim of becoming a full Estimator in due course.

Full time working hours are 36.25 hours per week. 8.30 am – 4.30pm.
Salary: starting at £24,720 (dependent upon qualifications, skills & experience), rising to £25,970 upon successful completion of probationary period.
Full training will be given.
