We are seeking an experienced Non-Executive Director with deep sustainability expertise to join the Board of a forward-thinking UK public sector organisation at a pivotal point in its environmental and social impact journey.
This is a strategic governance role for a leader who can provide independent challenge, oversight and direction on climate, net zero and broader ESG priorities, ensuring sustainability is embedded into long-term decision-making, risk management and public value delivery.
The client requires approximately 20 committed days per year starting April 2026 with a competitive rate on offer.
We are particularly interested in individuals with:
- Senior leadership experience in sustainability, climate, net zero or ESG
- Strong understanding of public sector governance and accountability
- Experience translating sustainability strategy into operational and financial reality
- Knowledge of regulatory, reporting and policy frameworks relevant to UK public bodies
