The Opportunity

We are seeking an exceptional Chief Investment Officer to lead the investment strategy for our private asset platform and build out a world-class investment framework and governance structure as we scale to a £250 million business globally .

This is not a passive leadership role. It’s an opportunity to build a new legacy from the ground up, refining our investment thesis , leading the investment committee , and creating long-term value for investors while backing businesses that are reshaping the future.

You’ll work closely with our CEO and Group Board to define the strategy, deploy capital, and ensure a balance of performance and purpose . You’ll lead with conviction, but collaborate with humility, working alongside a dynamic, ambitious, and values-aligned team.

What You’ll Do

• Design and own SWG’s multi-asset investment strategy , with an emphasis on sustainability, innovation, and growth-stage impact
• Build and lead our Investment Committee , bringing in trusted voices from VC, PE, credit, and real estate
• Oversee deal filtering, diligence, risk management , and investment governance
• Develop robust investment frameworks and internal scoring systems to assess opportunity flow at scale
• Represent SWG in external discussions with family offices, funds, co-investors, and corporate clients
• Help shape the launch of proprietary funds, SPV syndicates, and AI-powered portfolio tools
• Partner with our CEO, tech, legal, and commercial teams to scale our platform globally
• Contribute to brand authority by leading thought leadership, whitepapers, and investor briefings

What We’re Looking For

• 10+ years experience across VC, PE, private credit, or real asset investing, preferably with multi-asset expertise
• Proven track record deploying and managing capital ideally in an entrepreneurial or fast-scaling environment
• Prior experience building a business or investment vehicle from scratch (bonus: exited founder or fund builder)
• Deep understanding of investment committee processes , governance standards, and risk frameworks
• You care deeply about impact and sustainable value creation
• Comfortable in fast-growth, technology-led organisations. Bonus points if you’ve worked in or with startups
• Exceptional communicator—able to win trust with both LPs and founders
• Passionate about mentoring and working alongside a young, talented, and driven team

Bonus Attributes

• Global perspective with experience in Middle East, U.S., or Asia-Pacific markets
• Exposure to FCA regulations , SPV structuring, or fund creation
• Interest in AI, tech platforms, and modern wealth infrastructure
• Credibility or network in impact investing , climate tech, or regenerative sectors
