The predicted salary is between 18000 - 25000 £ per year.

We are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to manage the commercial aspects of civils and renewable energy projects. You will be responsible for cost control, contract administration, and ensuring financial efficiency across multiple projects.

Scope of Works:

  • 33kV cable installations
  • Substation carriage run works
  • Ducting installation
  • Groundworks and associated civils
  • Tarmac and reinstatement works
  • Civils packages across construction and renewable energy projects

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage project costs from pre-construction through to final account
  • Prepare valuations, variations, and cost reports
  • Administer contracts and ensure compliance with terms and conditions
  • Monitor budgets and forecast project costs and cash flow
  • Assess and negotiate subcontractor packages and payments
  • Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities
  • Work closely with project teams to ensure cost-effective delivery

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within civils and/or renewables
  • Strong understanding of groundworks, ducting, and tarmac works
  • Experience with NEC or similar forms of contract (preferred)
  • Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills
  • Strong organisational and reporting abilities

  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Contract Length: Minimum 12 months
  • Location: Various sites across Scotland and UK
  • Flexibility required for occasional travel to the Shetland Islands (all expenses covered)
