A leading civil engineering contractor is looking to appoint a Project Manager to support a growing pipeline of major infrastructure projects across Scotland. Projects are varied and include:
- Roads & highways
- Earthworks
- Drainage & utilities
- Substations
- Structures & heavy civils
- Infrastructure and framework projects
This is a hands-on delivery role suited to someone who enjoys running projects rather than managing spreadsheets - leading teams, managing subcontractors, owning programmes and driving projects from mobilisation through to completion.
Responsibilities:
- Full project ownership from pre-construction through to handover
- Management of subcontractors, labour, plant and materials
- Programme management and project sequencing
- Commercial responsibility including forecasting and CVRs
- Client and stakeholder management
- Coordination of multiple work packages across live environments
- Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget
We’re particularly keen to speak with people who have:
- HNC / HND / Degree in Civil Engineering
- Experience progressing through Site Engineer / Section Engineer / Agent / PM routes
- Strong understanding of roads, drainage, earthworks and infrastructure delivery
- NEC contract experience
- Experience working for principal contractors on live projects
- Background in heavy civils, infrastructure or utilities
- Experience from Tier 1 contractors or major infrastructure environments is highly desirable.
