Lead the build-out of a Scottish HV transmission operation - not just another project role. This is an opportunity to take ownership of a growing transmission business in Scotland — with the backing, pipeline, and leadership team already in place. We’re working with an electrical infrastructure contractor that has moved from smaller works into major HV transmission projects (275–400kV), with over £70m of live and upcoming work. They now need the right person to step in, take control, and scale it.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Take ownership of a portfolio of 275–400kV transmission projects
- Lead and develop a team of Project Managers and delivery staff
- Drive projects from tender through to energisation
- Work directly with senior leadership on pipeline, strategy and growth
- Play a central role in building out the Scottish operation
This is less about managing one project… And more about owning how projects are delivered across a region.
What You’ll Bring:
- Proven experience delivering 275–400kV transmission projects (this is key)
- Background across substations, grid connections or major HV infrastructure
- Currently operating at Senior PM level or above
- Comfortable leading teams, managing stakeholders, and taking ownership
- Commercial awareness and experience within framework / Tier 1 environments
Why This Role Stands Out:
- £70m+ pipeline with major contractors already engaged
- Upcoming projects with Tier 1 clients driving immediate workload
- Backed by experienced leadership and investment partners
- A genuine blank canvas in Scotland — build the team, shape the structure
- Direct access to decision-makers — no layers, no red tape
Where This Leads:
For the right person, this isn’t a sideways move. It’s a chance to:
- Step into a regional leadership role
- Build and lead your own team
- Play a key role in scaling a business within the UK transmission market
