An ICP client of mine is looking for a P&C Design Engineer This will involve delivering high value protection and control schemes for electricity distribution projects up to 132kV. The company are a long-established, employee-owned independent energy sector consultancy serving the UK and internationally. They support public, private and donor clients to deliver market-leading, cost-effective advisory and design solutions.
Location - Essex (hybrid but predominantly office-based)
FEED and detailed design workstreams for Protection & Control systems across transmission and renewable energy projects
Ensure quality assurance and timely delivery of design packages and technical bids
Undertake site visits and non-intrusive surveys as part of design or site support activities
Coordinate with back-office engineers, sub-contractors, and suppliers
Identify and manage technical risks, ensuring compliance with CDM and safety standards
Electricity Network Regulations / National Electricity Registration Scheme (NERS) requirements
DNO and IDNO design standards and approval processes
ENA Engineering Recommendations
Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015
General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Information Security requirements
It is essential that as a minimum HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent in electrical/electronic engineering or physics
Experience in design and planning of DNO/IDNO networks
