Role Summary
You’ll be responsible for preparing competitive mechanical estimates and tender documents. Working closely with the estimating team and project leads, you’ll assess drawings, source supplier quotes, and contribute to successful bid submissions.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates (materials, labour, plant).
- Review drawings/specifications and assess project scope.
- Source and evaluate supplier/subcontractor quotes.
- Compile pricing documents and tender returns.
- Attend pre-tender/site meetings and handle queries.
- Maintain estimating records and pricing databases.
- Contribute to risk analysis and mitigation planning.
Requirements
- Experience as a mechanical estimator within the M&E or construction sector.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and renewables (e.g., heat pumps).
