Job Title: Mechanical Project Manager Sector: M&E Contracting – Residential, Commercial, and Public Sector Salary: Competitive, based on experience + benefits About the Company: Our client is a well-established M&E contractor with a strong track record of delivering high-quality mechanical and electrical installations across a wide range of sectors, including residential developments, commercial spaces, education, healthcare, and leisure facilities. Known for their hands-on approach and commitment to excellence, they work closely with main contractors, developers, and consultants to ensure seamless project delivery from design through to commissioning. Role Overview: They are seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to oversee the end-to-end delivery of building services projects, typically ranging from £1M to £10M in value. This is a client-facing role, requiring someone with strong commercial acumen, technical knowledge, and excellent stakeholder management skills. Key Responsibilities: * Manage the delivery of mechanical packages across multiple projects. * Coordinate internal teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to meet project milestones. * Liaise with clients, consultants, and main contractors to ensure alignment on scope, quality, and timelines. * Take full ownership of programme, cost control, procurement, and health & safety. * Attend site meetings and progress reviews, providing clear updates and reports. * Work closely with the design and estimating teams during pre-construction and handover phases. * Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company standards. Requirements: * Proven experience managing M&E projects within the construction industry. * Strong knowledge of mechanical systems across commercial and residential sectors. * Ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams and manage project finances. * Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. * SMSTS, CSCS (Black or White Card), and First Aid certifications desirable. * HND/HNC or equivalent in Building Services, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering preferred.
