My client is a well-established M&E contractor based in Derby, who are looking to bring an experienced Mechanical Estimator into their fast-paced commercial office.
The Role
This role will suit someone confident in producing mechanical tenders for both pre-designed and design & build (D&B) projects ranging in value from £10K up to £1.5M. You’ll be working closely with the wider estimating and design teams to price a variety of commercial and industrial projects. A solid background in the wet side of the industry is essential – familiarity with AC and ventilation systems is beneficial but not a must.
Key Responsibilities:
- Producing accurate and competitive mechanical estimates
- Working from both pre-designed and D&B project specifications
- Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotes
- Collaborating with the design and delivery teams throughout the bid process
- Attending client meetings where required
Requirements:
- Proven experience in mechanical estimating
- Strong knowledge of heating, hot and cold water systems, and general pipework installations
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Comfortable working in a busy, office-based environment (non-hybrid preferred)
