Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced HVAC Project Manager to lead and deliver commercial mechanical projects across a broad geographic range (Derby through to London). The ideal candidate will have strong technical and managerial experience in air conditioning and ventilation systems, coupled with a proven track record of successfully managing commercial installations and maintenance works from inception to completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage HVAC and ventilation projects from contract award through to final hand-over.
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise site activities, ensuring quality, safety, and programme targets are met.
- Act as the primary on-site client contact, building strong relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
- Ensure compliance with technical specifications, installation standards, and health & safety policies.
- Monitor project performance, budgets, and resources, reporting progress to stakeholders.
- Work with design, estimating, and procurement teams to support smooth project delivery.
- Resolve technical challenges and proactively mitigate risks on site.
- Drive continuous improvement in site practices and client delivery.
Candidate Requirements
- Demonstrable commercial HVAC project management experience, ideally in air conditioning and ventilation systems (VRF/VRV, multi-split, MVHR, etc.).
- Strong experience managing commercial project types (offices, retail, healthcare, education, industrial).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and specifications.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the Derby–London corridor.
- Relevant technical qualifications (HNC/HND/BEng or equivalent) or industry accreditations.
