About our Client
My client is a specialist façade sub-contractor within the building envelope sector. They specialise in cladding and curtain walling projects across the South East. These projects could be any value from £250k to £8million. Now they are looking to bring on an experienced Design Manager.
About the Role
- To review the contract documents and establish an understanding of our contractual obligations in respect of our scope of works.
- Ensure that the design programme is being achieved and report internally any issues.
- Ensure or prepare necessary RFI schedule for timely submission in line with our internal design programme and advise of any issues to the operations manager or QS.
- Ensure drawing register, with dates to record submission, comments received, amended drawing issue and final approval date for all projects.
- Attend internal project review meetings with the relevant project team members.
- Meet specialist subcontractors and suppliers to co-ordinate design and obtain information as required to provide overall design responsibility.
About the Candidate
- Previously held a Design Manager / Team Leader position for at least 2 years.
- Must come from a facades background.
- Happy to work from home and travel to Winchester when required.
