Mechanical Supervisor – AI / Data Centre Campus Location: Narvik, Norway Project: Large-Scale AI / Data Centre Campus Employment Type: Contract / Full-time Working Arrangement: Site-based About the Role We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to join the MEP delivery team on a major AI / data centre campus in Narvik, Norway, supporting construction activities across the North and South campuses. The successful candidate will have proven experience working on data centre or other mission-critical projects, with particular expertise in stainless-steel pipework and chilled-water systems. You will be responsible for supervising mechanical installation activities on site, coordinating installation teams and subcontractors, and ensuring works are delivered safely, to programme and in accordance with project specifications. Key Responsibilities * Supervise day-to-day mechanical installation activities on site. * Lead and coordinate mechanical installation teams and subcontractors. * Oversee installation of stainless-steel pipework, ensuring works meet drawings, specifications and quality requirements. * Supervise chilled-water system installation, testing and associated mechanical works. * Coordinate mechanical activities with other MEP disciplines and the wider construction team. * Monitor progress against programme and identify potential delays or issues. * Review drawings, specifications and method statements to ensure works are installed correctly. * Ensure subcontractors comply with project procedures, quality standards and site requirements. * Conduct regular inspections of mechanical installations and ensure defects are identified and rectified. * Support testing, commissioning and handover activities. * Maintain accurate records of progress, inspections and site issues. * Promote a strong safety culture and ensure all works are carried out in accordance with site HSE requirements. * Liaise with Project Managers, Engineers, Construction Managers and other site stakeholders. Key Requirements * Proven experience as a Mechanical Supervisor / Mechanical Foreman / Mechanical Site Supervisor. * Direct data centre or mission-critical project experience is essential. * Strong experience with stainless-steel pipework installation. * Strong experience with chilled-water systems, ideally within large-scale data centre environments. * Experience supervising mechanical installation teams and subcontractors. * Good understanding of mechanical drawings, specifications and installation methods. * Experience working on large, complex MEP projects. * Strong understanding of site safety and quality requirements. * Ability to coordinate multiple activities and maintain progress in a fast-paced construction environment. * Strong communication and leadership skills. * Willingness to work site-based in Narvik, Norway. Desirable * Previous experience on hyperscale or large-scale AI/data centre projects. * Experience with large chilled-water plants and associated distribution systems. * Experience with stainless-steel process/mechanical pipework. * Experience supporting mechanical testing and commissioning. * Relevant mechanical engineering, trade or supervisory qualification.
