This is an opportunity to join a growing team within a consultancy. The client specializes in reducing engineering risk through detailed product design and engineering skill sets during new product development. The firm handles a broad spectrum of projects, including medical devices, automotive accessories, retail products, agriculture, and rail industry developments. Clients range from startups to multinationals, offering a fast-paced, dynamic, and rewarding work environment.

The client’s facilities include a design office with access to an engineering & model-making workshop, and testing equipment for tensile testing, high-speed photography, and environmental testing. The company prioritizes providing the latest technology to its team to lead in new product development.

  • At least 2 years relevant experience (can include work placement + 1 year in industry for example)
  • CAD proficiency (Solidworks essential, Fusion 360 beneficial)
  • Relevant industry experience (work in industry, placement, or substantial project work)
  • Ability to read/create engineering drawings and maintain bill of materials
  • Demonstrated practical aptitude, such as hands-on skills within an engineering workshop (can be student projects / placement experience / personal hobbies)
  • Competent in creating spreadsheets, word-processed documents and creating presentations
  • Basic electronics and programming knowledge
