Control Engineer – Exeter

We are recruiting a mid‑level Control Engineer in Exeter. Salary is £40,000–£50,000.

The start date will be in January or February 2026, with a two‑stage interview process commencing in the new year.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimise a range of control algorithms.
  • Simulate and analyse predicted control performance to ensure system reliability.
  • Design and conduct physical tests on internal test platforms as well as in real‑world applications.
  • Support the deployment of control systems for customers, ensuring they operate at peak performance.
  • Prepare and maintain technical reports and test documentation.
  • Collaborate closely with the technical team and provide regular updates to management to inform project planning and decision‑making.

Skills and Experience

  • A relevant degree or equivalent industrial experience.
  • Expertise in advanced control approaches for vibrations, including adaptive control techniques.
  • Hands‑on experience with linear motors and drives.
  • Proficiency in simulation work using Python or similar tools.
  • Experience with experimental validation and implementation of control systems.
