Civil Structural Engineer required for new office launch in Nottingham. We have an exciting opportunity to join the Power Civils team as a Civil Engineer. The role involves working closely with other disciplines on various new-build substations, substation upgrades/extensions and other electrical infrastructure, e.g. onshore wind farms and solar farms.

Outline requirements:

  • HND or degree level qualification in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Ideally IEng or CEng with membership of relevant professional engineering institution, e.g. ICE, IStructE.
  • 2-4 years civil/structural design experience on substation projects.
  • Experience of working within Electrical Transmission and Distribution sectors.
  • Good understanding of CDM requirements.
  • Good understanding of UK Environmental and Waste Management legislation and requirements.
  • Good knowledge of National Grid's Transmission Procedures.
  • To supervise and mentor others.

Other requirements:

  • 40 hrs/week.
  • Location: Ideally based within commutable distance to Nottingham.
  • We operate a hybrid home-office working arrangement, 3 days per week in office.
  • Start date: asap.
  • Salary up to £40K-£50K for a graduate engineer with 2-4 years experience.
