Are you an experienced Fire Risk Assessor looking for a secure, long‑term role within a respected in‑house Fire Safety team?
This leading housing association is seeking a Fire Risk Assessor / Fire Safety Officer to deliver high‑quality FRAs and support compliance across a diverse residential property portfolio.
The Role
- Carry out Fire Risk Assessments (FRAs) across high‑rise blocks, low‑rise buildings, sheltered schemes, community centres and street properties.
- Manage your programme of FRAs across North East London, working independently and responding to day‑to‑day fire safety queries.
- Liaise with internal teams, residents, contractors and the Fire Service to ensure fire safety actions are understood and completed.
- Typically complete 1‑2 days per week on site, with the rest home-based for reporting, analysis and follow‑up.
- Support the wider team by contributing to QA, mentoring and developing fire safety processes.
This is a great opportunity for a Fire Risk Assessor who enjoys autonomy and delivering real improvements across residential buildings.
What We\’re Looking For
- Level 3 or 4 qualification in Fire Risk Assessment or Fire Safety Management
- Experience working as a Fire Risk Assessor in residential or sleeping‑risk environments
- Strong knowledge of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trust with residents and internal teams
- Self‑motivated, organised and confident managing a busy caseload
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
