About the Project: You’ll join the Fort Augustus to Skye Reinforcement Project - a critical upgrade to Scotland’s energy infrastructure that is working to safeguard environmental habitats while delivering sustainable energy solutions. This role is project critical and will play a key part in supporting sustainability actions across one of the UK's most environmentally sensitive construction programmes.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Supporting the Environmental Manager and project teams to deliver environmental management plans, actions, and sustainability objectives on a major infrastructure project
  • Driving compliance with environmental legislation, consents, permits, and planning conditions
  • Managing on-site environmental risk, helping to mitigate impacts on land, watercourses, and habitats
  • Leading day-to-day environmental assurance activities, including inspections, audits, and incident investigations
  • Engaging with regulatory authorities, landowners, and project stakeholders to maintain positive relationships
  • Mentoring and supporting more junior Environmental Advisors and Coordinators where required
  • Contributing to habitat restoration, land management, and peatland protection efforts
  • Advising on ecology, water management, flood risk, and civil construction activities on site

What We’re Looking For:

  • Demonstrable professional experience in environmental management on infrastructure, construction, energy or linear projects
  • Good understanding of ecology, habitat management, flood risk, watercourse protection, and civil engineering activities
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills - able to liaise with site teams, clients and regulators
  • Full UK driving licence (essential)
  • Passion for sustainability and an appreciation for working outdoors in remote, rugged environments
