We are seeking a skilled Flooring Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial and domestic flooring. As a Flooring Installer, you will be responsible for the installation of various types of flooring materials in residential and commercial settings, ensuring high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction. Sustainable Flooring Ltd will provide a work vehicle. Our work is in the North West Manchester area.
Duties
- Measure and cut flooring materials to fit specific areas
- Install various types of flooring including laminate, carpet, and vinyl
- Prepare subfloors by cleaning, levelling, and repairing as necessary
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete installations
- Follow schematics and project plans to ensure accurate installation
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and preferences
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment throughout the installation process
- Conduct final inspections of completed work to ensure quality standards are met
Requirements
- Proven experience in cap n cove system of installation
- Proficient in using hand tools and power tools relevant to flooring installation
- Strong skills with an understanding of floor installing techniques
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings
- Experience in construction drawings is an advantage but not essential
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality work
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment
- Stamina to carry out a job to a very good standard
