As a Reporting Specialist (Sustainability Reporting) at Sustainable Energy First, you will be responsible for analysing and reporting the clients' energy consumption and carbon emissions. This role is vital in helping businesses comply with environmental regulations, improve sustainability practices, and reduce their carbon footprint.
Your Primary Responsibilities:
- Quality sustainable reporting – prepare detailed, accurate, and timely reports for clients.
- Data – Work with other departments and teams to collect necessary data.
- Delivery of reporting to the client – preparation and delivery of energy and carbon reports for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Client Communication - Building client relationships and being a key point of contact for all things relating to the contracted reporting.
- Continuous Improvements - Working with the Principal and Senior Reporting Specialists to identify opportunities to enhance the reporting process through automation.
- Support Sustainability Goals – Assist with the development of energy and carbon reduction strategies by providing accurate data and insights and trends.
Requirements:
- Reporting Compliance – Prepare detailed energy and carbon reports that comply with relevant environmental regulations.
- Report Delivery - Ensure timely delivery of high-quality reporting across client base.
- Insight & Value Add - Deliver accurate reporting enhanced with actionable insights into the client's energy usage and associated carbon impact, along with tailored recommendations to help reduce their carbon footprint.
- Sustainability Strategy Support - Collaborating with internal teams to identify opportunities for energy efficiency improvements and carbon reduction.
Key Ingredients for the Role:
- Energy and Environmental knowledge - Understanding of energy consumption, carbon emissions, sustainability practices and environmental regulations.
- Communication Skills - Good written and verbal communication skills to report findings to clients.
- Attention to detail – Ensuring data accuracy and compliance with reporting standards.
- Analytical skills - Ability to analyse client data and identify trends in areas of concern.
- Problem Solving Skills - Ability to identify discrepancies or inefficiencies in client reports and correct them.
