The Role in a Nutshell 🐿️ To grow, develop, and retain a profitable portfolio of mid-market customers through proactive, telephony-based account management. This role is responsible for driving revenue growth, enhancing customer satisfaction, and identifying new business opportunities through cross-selling and upselling.

  • Manage a defined portfolio of mid-market customers, acting as their primary point of contact.
  • Drive revenue growth by identifying and converting new business opportunities within existing and new accounts.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records in the Salesforce system to support forecasting and pipeline visibility.
  • Build strong, trust-based relationships through regular telephony-based engagement.
  • Resolve customer queries, complaints, and issues efficiently and professionally.
  • Prioritise customer engagement based on data insights and business value.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g. Operations, Sales Support) to ensure service excellence and data accuracy.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts on a daily and weekly basis.

Sales goals:

  • Achievement of monthly revenue targets as defined by the business.
  • Contribution to a Β£5 million annual revenue target through effective pipeline management.
  • High levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Accurate Salesforce data to support business planning and reporting.
  • Increased customer lifetime value through strategic account development.

Key ingredients for the role:

  • Proven experience in a sales or account management environment.
  • Strong negotiation, influencing, and communication skills.
  • Commercially minded with a proactive approach to identifying opportunities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Salesforce systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage large datasets and extract actionable insights.
  • Knowledge of the UK energy market and supplier propositions is desirable.
