The Role in a Nutshell: As a Database Specialist at Sustainable Energy First, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and accessibility of data across our customer portfolio. You will be responsible for onboarding new customers, managing and maintaining existing portfolio data, and supporting the business by inputting and validating ad hoc data requirements across multiple teams. Your expertise will help ensure high-quality, reliable data is available through Fusion, enabling both our customers and internal stakeholders to make informed decisions with confidence. Through detailed analysis and proactive data management, you will identify and resolve discrepancies, contributing to the continuous improvement of portfolio quality and operational efficiency.
Working collaboratively with customers and colleagues across a range of departments, you will be at the heart of delivering exceptional service standards. Your ability to build strong relationships, communicate effectively, and process information accurately will directly influence customer satisfaction, support business growth, and help Sustainable Energy First achieve its strategic objectives while consistently exceeding client expectations.
You will be responsible for:
- Onboarding/Site List Management: Manage the accurate and timely onboarding of new sites and amendments within the Fusion database system. Coordinate with customers and suppliers to gather and validate site information. Ensure all onboarding activities are completed in line with agreed deadlines and service standards. Maintain site records to support data integrity and operational efficiency.
- Administrative Tasks: Obtain ad hoc data e.g. capacities, floor areas, opening times, voltages, and Letters of Authority (LOAs). Work with customers/internal teams to ensure any database changes are processed efficiently.
- Collaboration: Working closely with Customers, Analysts, and Strategic Account Managers to communicate change. Communicate with Supplier/DNOs to obtain missing information.
- Problem Solving: Resolving database errors and site’s/information not pulling through to Fusion. Assist procurement with rate errors and identify the database issue causing the rate to fail.
- Impact on Efficiency: Your efforts will directly influence the overall efficiency and effectiveness of database changes and cleansing, helping the organisation achieve its business objectives and exceed client expectations.
About you:

- Proficiency in IT: Basic IT skills required, and Excel skills, such as V lookups and X lookups.

Salary: £25,353.25
Holidays: 25 days + bank holidays + your birthday off, increasing to 30 days on length of service.
Hybrid working (at least 2 days per week working from our Fulwood, Preston office).
