JOB PURPOSE
Sustain Video is looking for a talented Sports Video Editor to create hype, feature and documentary storytelling content of the highest creative and editorial quality for our clients’ world-leading digital and broadcast platforms.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create and deliver exceptional sports video content with a focus on storytelling and high-energy visuals
- Demonstrate creativity, attention to detail, and a passion for the craft in every project
- Demonstrate a high-level of understanding in sports editorial, bringing out everything possible from a storytelling perspective – offering creative and editorial solutions that upgrade original briefs
- Ability to act as finishing editor on ‘hero’ edits – delivering brilliant results under deadline pressure
- Offer clear communication, trust, and seamless collaboration with Sustain Video’s team and clients
- Work effectively with staff, freelance professionals and production partners
- Contribute to the development of creative strategies, editing workflows, and efficient delivery processes
- Proactively manage video production schedules and prioritise tasks
- Be a leader in technical aspects of video editing, including software, hardware, and office equipment maintenance
- Uphold Sustain Video’s core values and adhere to company policies in all professional activities
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- 3+ years experience in a Video Editor role for recognisable media organisations or brands
- Expert-level video editing skills in Premiere Pro
- Working knowledge of wider Adobe suite (After Effects, Photoshop, etc)
- Proven ability to edit, finish and deliver feature and mid to long-form storytelling content that has a strong editorial foundation and delivers emotional moments
- Proven ability to quickly create dynamic, surprising hype edits
- Proven ability to colour grade, sound mix, and create graphics, transitions, and visual composites
- Demonstrable professional experience in the sports media industry
- Strong visual and technical creativity, capable of delivering innovative treatments and solutions
- Capacity to flex according to deadlines
- Excellent editorial judgment, technical accuracy, and a commitment to delivering high-quality edits
- Problem-solving mindset, with the ability to craft creative and timely solutions
- Passion for sports, storytelling & contemporary culture
