Based in Marlow, Bucks, our client a market leader in their field, is looking for an SAP Implementation Lead Business Analyst, for their European SAP S/4 HANA upgrade, on a 6 month FTC. The SAP Implementation Business Analyst will report to the European SAP Implementation Lead and will provide a vital bridge between the global business stakeholders and the technical implementation team, responsible for translating business requirements into technical clarity, ensuring that the new S/4HANA digital core aligns with the long-term strategic goals. The SAP Implementation Business Analyst will work with key stakeholders across the Europe and North American business, to facilitate the design and implementation of SAP S/4 HANA for European Finance function.
Key duties for the SAP Implementation Business Analyst:
- Requirement Interpretation & Clarification: Actively interpret complex business needs and provide ongoing clarification to the technical build team to ensure the solution remains aligned with the original project vision.
- SAP Best Practices Advocacy: Leverage a strong understanding of SAP Best Practices for Manufacturing to guide the business toward standard processes, ensuring a streamlined "clean core" implementation.
- Documentation: Create Process Maps and User Stories. Lead the development of comprehensive training manuals and reconciliation reports to support business readiness and post-go-live stability.
- Data Migration Support: Collaborate with data owners to define objects, cleansing rules, and validation logic for migration from legacy systems to S/4HANA.
- Testing & QA: Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), develop test scripts, and ensure that the solution meets defined business criteria.
- Change Management: Assist in the creation of training materials and support end-users during the transition to the new system.
The Ideal candidate for the SAP Implementation Business Analyst:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field; SAP certifications.
- SAP Expertise: Proven experience with SAP S/4HANA. Understanding of the SAP Activate Methodology is highly desirable.
- Manufacturing Excellence: Deep domain knowledge of SAP’s industry-specific best practices for Manufacturing.
- Project Management Tools: Proficiency with agile project management tools, specifically Azure DevOps (or Jira), for tracking user stories, managing the project backlog, and monitoring sprint progress.
- Advanced Data Modelling: Expert-level proficiency in MS Excel; must be an advanced user comfortable with building complex financial and operational models, utilizing advanced formulas, macros, and large data set analysis.
- Greenfield Experience: Prior experience in a "New Implementation" (Greenfield) lifecycle is a significant advantage.
- Analytical Tools: Proficiency in BPMN tools (such as Signavio or Visio).
- Stakeholder Management: Ability to influence and manage expectations of stakeholders at various seniority levels across different regions.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to "translate" complex technical jargon into business-friendly language.
- Problem Solving: A "solution-oriented" mindset with the ability to navigate the ambiguity of a new project build.
