Group Financial Controller £110,000 – £115,000 + Bonus + Benefits Remote About the role We're partnering exclusively with a private equity-backed, global consulting business to find a Group Financial Controller to take ownership of financial control across the group. This is a senior, high-visibility role reporting directly into the Group Finance Director, with two Group Finance Managers reporting to you. You'll be the backbone of the group's financial integrity — leading audit, tax compliance, statutory reporting and consolidations across a multi-entity, multi-currency environment, while also driving process improvement and technology adoption across the finance function. It's a role for someone who wants genuine ownership, a seat close to the top table, and the chance to shape how a growing, acquisitive business runs its finances. What you'll be doing Overseeing month-end and year-end close across the group, and directing the management accounts team to ensure robust processes and consistent quality Leading the annual group audit as the key point of contact for external auditors, and strengthening the internal control framework across all business units Owning UK and US corporate tax compliance, working closely with external tax advisors Supporting the monthly and annual group consolidation process and overseeing statutory accounts preparation across legal entities Maintaining transfer pricing documentation and ensuring timely statutory and regulatory filings Supporting the integration of newly acquired businesses — aligning accounting policies, reporting processes and finance systems Championing finance transformation, including financial close acceleration and the adoption of technology and AI tools Partnering with FP experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is a plus Strong people leadership skills and a collaborative, influential communication style
