Senior Fullstack Engineer in Brighton

Moonshot Partners is recruiting a Senior Fullstack Engineer for a Brighton-based organisation serving public sector workers. This is a hands‑on, senior role for the organisation’s founding permanent engineer, working directly with the Head of Engineering to bring a vendor‑built platform in house and shape an AI‑native engineering culture.

What you’ll do

• Co‑own architecture decisions and reshape the existing agency‑built estate.
• Build the platform end to end, including services, APIs, integrations and frontend components.
• Set TypeScript standards covering patterns, testing, contract design and agent‑assisted workflows.
• Develop the AI‑powered software factory through skills, prompts and agent review patterns.
• Design integration boundaries across Dynamics, Stripe and Supabase.
• Ship features and improvements to a live member base from the first week.
• Explain technical choices to the CEO and prioritise work with the strongest commercial impact.
• Help interview and mentor future engineers and shape the technical recruitment process.

What they’re looking for

• A senior‑level track record of building and shipping systems used by real customers.
• Deep TypeScript expertise, including strong opinions on runtimes, type systems and testing.
• Strong system‑design judgement and experience defining integrations and domain models.
• High AI fluency, with regular use of agents and AI‑assisted engineering workflows.
• Clear communication with both non‑technical leaders and engineers.
• Confidence working with ambiguity, challenging architectural choices and taking ownership of outcomes.

Location

This is a hybrid full‑time role based in Brighton. Working from the Brighton office at least three days per week is a firm requirement.
