Go back University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust (279) Pre Hospital Emergency Medicine Registrar The closing date is 08 June 2025 This role is a chance to work as a Helicopter Medicine Service (HEMS) Registrar in a fast-paced environment within a highly skilled team, while contributing to the charity\'s mission of ending preventable loss of life from medical emergencies. The medical rota is compliant with UK Worthing Time Regulations and the BMA junior doctor contract. The post is hosted by the Air Ambulance Charity Kent Surrey Sussex but post holders are employed through University Hospital Sussex NHS Foundation Trust. Main duties of the job The Pre-Hospital Emergency Medicine Registrar at Air Ambulance Charity Kent Sussex (KSS) is responsible for delivering pre-hospital emergency care as part of a doctor-paramedic team. This involves providing high-quality care to patients both at the scene of an incident and during transit to the hospital. Key aspects include maintaining crew resource management within HEMS team,collaborating with stakeholders like the South East Coast Ambulance Service and other hospital team. The role requires proficiency in KSS\' standards procedures, along with the ability to provide detailed patient handover and excellent documentation. Furthermore, the Registrar will support clinical governance, actively participate in training, and contribute to the charity\'s wider goals. They will also be involve in inter-hospital transfers of patients, including those needing Level 3 critical care. It\'s also expected that the post-holder will drive improvements in standards of care, support research, quality improvement and innovation and follow all safety guidelines.
