You will share our commitment to ensuring our patients receive safe, high-quality and compassionate care, and support us as we continue our journey towards "working together to drive excellence in care for our patients and communities."

About the Trust and Our Partnership

You will be a key member of the Trust's senior leadership team, working closely with the Medical Director, Chief Operating Officer and Head of Ambulance to ensure the safe effective day-to-day management of our hospital and ambulance service.

You will bring significant experience in:

  • Delivering and supporting nursing, midwifery and AHP strategies.
  • Leading on quality, patient safety, safeguarding and clinical governance.
  • Strengthening systems and processes to provide assurance of safe, high-quality care.
  • Developing professional identity and leadership capability across the workforce.
  • Influencing a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, including regulators.
  • Acting on behalf of the Group and the Isle of Wight NHS Trust, as required.

The successful candidate will be a visible, values-driven leader who champions improvement, compassion and excellence while supporting our teams to meet the needs of patients and service users.

About us

Working for our Trust brings a variety of benefits, including an onsite day nursery, cycle-to-work scheme, discounts at local businesses and gyms, and the opportunity to hire Trust's beach hut in Ryde. We offer many flexible working opportunities; speak to us about how we might be able to accommodate a flexible working arrangement for you and if it works for the service, we will do our best to make it work for you.
