Are you a Band 6 podiatrist looking to develop and/or consolidate your clinical skills? Part-time hours and job share options will be considered. Would you like a career within a supportive, hardworking, friendly, fun and caring team with an experienced mentor? Podiatry in and around the Bognor and Chichester area are looking for 1 full-time Podiatrist to join their team.

We are dedicated to the development of our staff through regular staff meetings, yearly personal development reviews and dedicated clinical supervision. While this role is initially advertised for a Band 6 Podiatrist, we are also open to considering Band 5 Podiatrists who demonstrate potential for development into a Band 6 position.

Main duties of the job:

  • You will have experience in wound care and the high-risk foot, developing high quality, accessible and timely podiatric intervention to a caseload of patients with complex foot health needs.
  • As well as treating the high-risk foot, you will have the opportunity to carry out Nail Surgery and treat MSK patients.

Job responsibilities:

You will be responsible for the comprehensive assessment, treatment planning, reviewing of care plans and potentially discharging patients when their course of treatment is completed. This will occur in a variety of clinical locations, including domiciliary settings. As part of your treatment planning, you will be expected to deliver health promotion and education to maximise the patients' potential gain from their Podiatry intervention.

Qualifications:

  • BSc (Hons) Podiatry.
  • Registered with the Health Professions Council.
  • Certificate in Nail Surgery and Local Anaesthesia.

Experience:

  • 3 years full-time degree course i/c 1100 hours clinical practice.
  • Experience in management of high-risk cases within a supervised environment.
  • Knowledge of current NHS.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team.
  • Ability to devise a treatment plan for patients under your care.
