There is an exciting opportunity to join KCHFT Storage Management Service and a chance to enjoy working in a vibrant and forward-thinking team. We are looking for a Store Assistant to join our busy team to support with vaccine storage and distribution, the packing of consumable items to support our Immunisation Service and also support with the manual handling and support of other Trust wide programmes such as medical equipment replacement.
This post is a part-time annualised hours contract meaning that successful candidates will work full-time hours during our busiest immunisation period (September - February) and reduced hours during other times of the year. Salary will be paid pro-rata. Shifts are rostered across Monday - Saturday 6am-6pm. Saturday shifts will be rostered an average of one Saturday in 10. We are looking for people who are organised, have good attention to detail and able to complete manual handling tasks. If this sounds like you, then we would love to hear from you.
Main duties of the job:- Receiving vaccine deliveries into the store
- Maintaining vaccine cold chain in line with Trust policy and process
- Packing consumable items from a pre-determined list
- Manual handling of medical equipment
- Receiving consumables and vaccines back from sessions and storing in line with Trust policy and process
