Maybe you're looking for a change or more flexible part-time work has become more of a priority. It might be that you haven't really considered a community Dietitian role before and are considering a change from acute based work. If so, we'd like to challenge you to get in touch and have a go at developing your skills within our community team. We are especially seeking dietitians interested in developing their skills in the dietetics specialty area of gastroenterology.

Main duties of the job:

You will be part of a large and supportive Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics Service in KCHFT working across Kent. Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics currently employs over 50 dietetic staff in four different teams. We also believe that clinicians should focus on clinical work and hence we have invested in a very supportive administration team. You will work from home, from your base location at Trinity House, Ashford and will be an essential part of your role to drive to various locations across East Kent to meet clinical service needs.

Person Specification:

  • Qualifications: Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics, Registered Health Care Professional - HCPC Registered, Member of British Dietetics Association (BDA).
  • Experience: Supporting others (mentor/educator/supervisor) experience, Experience in community dietetics.
  • Specialist knowledge and expertise: Knowledge of a range of appropriate therapeutic interventions (relevant to community dietetics).
  • Skills and abilities: Ability to manage time effectively, prioritise and organise work under pressure to meet deadlines, Able to travel (drive) between sites across East Kent and carry equipment such as wheelchair scales.
