We are seeking an experienced Year 3 class teacher to take full responsibility for a Lower Key Stage 2 class at St Wilfrid's from 15 June 2026 to the end of the summer term (five weeks). The role is a full class‑teacher position, not a cover supervisor. You will be responsible for full planning, teaching, marking and assessment from day one, working within the school’s established curriculum and assessment systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver well‑structured, engaging lessons aligned with the National Curriculum across all core and foundation subjects.
  • Mark and assess pupils’ work regularly, maintaining clear and accurate records in line with the school’s expectations.
  • Create a calm, inclusive, and high‑expectation classroom environment and support learners including those with SEND.
  • Attend relevant staff meetings, briefings and work as a full member of the Lower KS2 team for the duration of the placement.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.
  • Experience teaching in Key Stage 2, ideally in Year 3 or a neighbouring year group.
  • Confident knowledge of the Lower KS2 curriculum across core subjects: English, Maths, Science, and foundation subjects.
  • Positive, inclusive classroom management approach and reliable professional conduct.
  • Enhanced DBS certificate (required – we will advise if you need to update).
  • Two professional references from previous schools or employers.
  • Right to work in the United Kingdom.

Pay is based on your position on the Main Pay Scale (MPS) and is processed weekly via PAYE. No umbrella companies or hidden deductions.
