Early Years Teacher Job in Brighton – Full-Time EYFS Opportunity in a Large Primary School
Sussex Teachers is recruiting a Qualified Early Years Teacher (QTS) for a full-time EYFS teaching role in Brighton (BN1) within a large, well-established primary school. This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher with strong Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) experience to join a supportive Early Years team in a busy Brighton primary setting.
The school is looking for a teacher who understands the importance of the Reception year, can create a calm, engaging learning environment, and can help children build strong foundations in communication, personal development, literacy and numeracy.
The Role
- Full responsibility for an EYFS / Reception class
- Plan and deliver engaging Early Years learning experiences
- Support early phonics, communication, social and emotional development
- Use observation and assessment to track pupil progress
- Create a nurturing, organised and stimulating classroom
- Work closely with teaching assistants, parents and school leaders
- Support smooth transitions into Key Stage 1

Who We’re Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- EYFS / Reception teaching experience
- Strong understanding of the EYFS framework
- Phonics knowledge preferred
- Warm, organised and reliable approach
- Strong classroom and behaviour management
- Based in or able to commute to Brighton
