Sussex Teachers is delighted to be working in partnership with Worthing Primary School, to recruit a committed and enthusiastic Year 5 Primary Teacher for a long-term, full-time contract covering the rest of the Spring and Summer Terms 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a caring, inclusive, and well-respected Primary School with a strong sense of community. The successful teacher will become part of a supportive Key Stage 2 team, helping pupils develop confidence, independence, and academic progress during the final two terms of the academic year.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons aligned with the UK National Curriculum
- Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment where all pupils feel supported
- Assess, track, and report on pupil progress, identifying next steps for learning
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents
- Participate in parents’ evenings and wider school life as required
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with recent Key Stage 2 experience
- Strong classroom management and the ability to motivate and engage pupils
- A reflective practitioner committed to high standards and continuous improvement
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Sensitivity to, and respect for, the ethos and values of a faith-based primary school
