Interim SENDCo Job in Woodingdean, Brighton (BN2)
Sussex Teachers has been asked to find an experienced Interim SENDCo for a nurturing primary school and nursery in Woodingdean, Brighton (BN2). The role starts in January 2027 and runs until April 2027, with the possibility of extending to July 2027.
The school would ideally like a full-time SENDCo, but part-time applications will be considered. It is a friendly community primary school with its own nursery, teaching children aged 2 to 11 on the eastern edge of Brighton, where difference is celebrated and there is a strong focus on kindness, belonging and wellbeing.
Paid weekly via PAYE, with no umbrella companies and no hidden deductions.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience as a SENCo, SENDCo or inclusion leader in a primary school
- Sound knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and the EHCP process
- Confident working with families, staff and outside agencies
- An enhanced DBS check on the update service, or willingness to apply for one
