Sussex Recruitment are seeking a Restoration Technician for ongoing cleaning and restoration work in the Newhaven area. This is a ‘temp to perm’ role and will become permanent for a suitable person after a short trial period.
This is a combination of working on both domestic and commercial jobs and the work can be anywhere in the South East. Due to the varying locations of the work, some early starts and late finishes are sometimes required; however, overtime is paid when standard working hours are exceeded.
A clean driving licence is preferred and for insurance reasons, you must be over 21 years of age. This is physical work and time restraints can mean the work is pressured at times, so a cool head is beneficial. Experience of media blasting would be an advantage but is not essential.
Responsibilities:- Cleaning and restoration of household and commercial content and building following incidents, either on-site or at workshop
- High level cleaning from high access equipment
- Property clearance
- Listing and removal of content from commercial and domestic properties
- Biohazard cleaning and sharp clearance
Candidates with a current IPAF/PASMA card are particularly invited to apply for this work; however, it is not essential for the role.
Knowledge, skills, attitude, physical capability and experience required:- Enthusiastic and co-operative attitude
- Good communication skills and telephone manner
- Ability to write accurate, complete and concise reports
- No phobia of heights
- Neat tidy appearance and presentation
