We are currently seeking a talented and passionate Senior Lead GP to join our dynamic team at Sussex Primary Care, part of a larger network that provides support, collaboration, and development opportunities. We are a friendly, forward-thinking GP surgery with a supportive multidisciplinary team, including three GPs, an ACP Clinical Lead, ANP, Paramedic Practitioner, Prescribing Lead Pharmacist and Pharmacy Technician, supported by a nursing and admin team. We use SystmOne, offer 15-minute appointments, and provide two protected GP Clinical Lead admin sessions per week to support leadership, quality improvement and mentoring (pro Rata). The practice is transitioning with plans to implement total triage to improve patient access and streamline workflows. Responsibilities
  • Provide senior clinical leadership within the GP surgery and contribute to quality improvement and governance.
  • Support and supervise staff, including ACP Clinical Leads and other clinicians, to maintain high standards of care.
  • Participate in leadership sessions and mentoring to develop the team and improve service delivery.
  • Shape future direction during periods of transition, including implementing streamlined triage processes.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-centred care and ensure safe service delivery.
Qualifications
  • MRCGP qualification.
  • Registered on the GMC GP Register with a licence to practise.
  • On an NHS National performers list (England, Wales or Northern Ireland).
  • UK-based (necessity).
  • Eligibility for overseas Tier 2 sponsorship where applicable.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent clinical decision-making skills.
